Gujarat High Court Translator Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

Graduate from a recognized university.
A candidate must possess a certificate regarding Basic Knowledge of Computer as prescribed by the state government from time to time.

Gujarat High Court Translator Salary

Selected candidates for filling up 16 vacant posts of translator in the pay matrix of Rs. 35,400-1,12,400/- plus usual allowances as per the rules, on the establishment of the High Court of Gujarat, by way of direct recruitment.

Gujarat High Court Translator Selection Process

The Competitive Examination shall consist of :

Elimination Test (Objective Type – MCQs) [100 Marks]
Translation Test [100 Marks]
Viva-voce Test [50 Marks]

Elimination Test (Objective Type: MCQs) [100 Marks]

The Elimination Test (Objective Type-MCQs) based on a ‘Computer Based Test (CBT)’ shall consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) each of 1 Mark.
For every wrong/multiple answer, there shall be Negative Marking of 0.33 Marks.
Language of the Question Paper shall be English only (except the questions in Gujarati Language).
Duration of the Elimination Test shall be 75 Minutes.

Translation Test [100 Marks]

Translation Test of 100 Marks, comprising Translation from Gujarati to English and English to Gujarati language for a duration of 02:30 Hours.
Translation Test shall be conducted at Ahmedabad, or at the center(s) as may be decided by the High Court.
Candidates shall have to secure minimum 40 Marks in Translation Test for being called for next stage i.e. Viva-voce Test.
In case of large number of Candidates qualify in the Elimination Test / Translation Test, it will be open for the High Court to restrict the number of Candidates as deemed necessary, according to Merit, for the next Stage.

Viva-voce Test [50 Marks]

Viva-voce Test shall be of 50 Marks.
Candidates shall have to secure minimum 40% Marks in the Viva-voce Test.
