Haryana CET Qualification Eligibility, Syllabus, Registration, and Fees
The Haryana Common Eligibility Test (CET) is a recruitment process for filling various posts in Group C and Group D categories under the Haryana Government. Below is a summary of the eligibility criteria, syllabus, registration process, and fee structure for the CET:
1. Qualification Eligibility to Appear in CET
For Group C Posts:
- Minimum Educational Qualification:
The candidate must have completed 10+2 (Class 12th) or an equivalent qualification. If the candidate has a Matriculation qualification, an additional qualification is required for eligibility.
For Group D Posts:
- Minimum Educational Qualification:
The minimum requirement is Matriculation (Class 10) with Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matriculation. Alternatively, Hindi may be a subject in the Higher Standard as per the Haryana Group D Employees (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Act, 2018.
Citizenship:
- The applicant must be:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal, or
- A subject of Bhutan (In this case, a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government is required).
2. Syllabus for CET
The syllabus for the Common Eligibility Test (CET) is divided into two parts, with the focus based on the Group and the level of education.
Part 1: General Subjects
- 75% weightage for the following subjects:
- General Awareness
- Reasoning
- Quantitative Ability
- English
- Hindi
- For Group C posts, Computer Knowledge is also included.
Part 2: Haryana-related Subjects
- 25% weightage for the following topics:
- History of Haryana
- Current Affairs of Haryana
- Literature, Geography, Environment, Culture of Haryana
Examination Levels:
- Group C Posts: The question paper will be at the Senior Secondary (10+2) level or its equivalent.
- Group D Posts: The question paper will be at the Matric (10th) level.
- Language Requirements: Hindi and English will be of Matric Level.
3. Registration for CET
Step-by-Step Registration Process:

Applicants need to register on the official portal:
onetimeregn.haryana.gov.in. -
Required Information:
Applicants must provide their personal details, upload required documents (such as educational qualifications, caste certificates, etc.), and other claims like family income or experience. -
Parivar Pehchan Number (PPN):
The Parivar Pehchan Number is required to verify the applicant’s claims. This enables the recruitment agency to check:- Residence status
- Educational qualifications
- Caste certificates
- Experience
- Disability status, etc.

Aadhaar Number:
Applicants can also register using their Aadhaar Number or Parivar Pehchan Number as required by the government. -
Registration Number:
After successful registration, applicants will be allocated a Registration Number, which will be their reference ID for the entire recruitment process. Applicants need not re-register in future years but can apply using the same Registration Number.
4. Fees for Haryana CET
The processing fees for the CET vary depending on the category of the applicant and their residency status in Haryana. Below is the detailed breakdown of the fees:

Standard Fee Rates:
- Standard Rate: ₹1,000 or as fixed by the Haryana Government.
- Re-appearance Fee: Applicants wishing to reappear for the CET for improvement of marks (for Group C or D posts) must pay the fee again.
Note on Fees:
- Applicants who pay the fee during registration are entitled to appear once in the CET for both Group C and Group D posts.
- For reappearances or improvements in scores, applicants will need to pay the fee again.
